Florida Tile to celebrate 10th anniversary during Coverings 2016

From Floor Covering Weekly --Florida Tile announced that celebrating the 10th anniversary of its purchase by the Italian Panariagroup will be one of the highlights of the company’s participation at this year’s Coverings 2016 in Chicago April 18-21.

According to director of marketing and product development Sean Cilona, “The past decade has seen dramatic growth in the Florida Tile brand, our production facility in Kentucky and our ranking among the top tile manufacturers in North America.”

Founded in 1974, Panariagroup is an Italian-based producer of porcelain, ceramic, stone and metal tile used around the world in flooring, walls, countertops and other surfaces indoors and out. Today, Panariagroup is comprised of eight brands, manufacturers in three countries and distributes its brands to more than 100 countries.

In 2006, Panariagroup purchased Florida Tile, Inc. then a Lakeland, Florida-based manufacturer of specialty tile. Since moving Lawenceburg, Ky., Florida Tile has become a world-class manufacturer and distributor of porcelain and ceramic wall tile, as well as natural stone and decorative glass and metal tiles, and operates two dozen of its own tile and stone showrooms across the U.S.

Cilona added, “Among the achievements that will be celebrated at Coverings 2016 will be the continued expansion of our manufacturing to produce larger format and rectified products, the expansion of our logistics network and distribution facility, new Florida Tile branch locations and the addition of the Cotto D’Este brand inside the operations of Florida Tile in the Unites States.”
